INTERNATIONAL

- Florian Duc de Kurland is the new embassador of the Kingdom of Narrapul in New Balnea.

- An Ydean embassy was opened in Satero while the Embassy of the Semi-Republic of Caracteresse was inaugurated in New Balnea.

- Faantir Gried, Foreign Affairs Vizir of Futuna, arrived in Ydemos this morning.

SOCIETY

- Tomorrow is Isadora Glukenstein's Ydean birtday. Happy birthday to the most beautiful lady in Ydemos, talented DJ and the respected founder of KRY.

- Max Ilorin announced he will organize a Festival of Romantic Arts in Dangloyre.

SPORT

- Football : The Federation announced the creation of two competitions and released a website in English : http://www.ydemos.com/fif_monde.htm . Micronations and people from the French, English and German microworld are invited to participate, meet and have fun in these two international events.

- 1/4 finals of the C16 : It was a draw in Krassdorf, ETA did not score any goals and neither did KKP. In sumer SSG beat Sol by a score of 2-0. In Ydel the local fans of AFA were disappointed to see their team lose against Red 0-2 while the OL fans were celebrating a 1-0 victory over the Deportivo New Balnea. The return matches for the 1/4 finals are set for next Friday.

TECHNOLOGY

- A website dedicated to jYdemos explains what exactly is this computer program and how to install it : http://www.ydemos.com/jydemos.htm

- Clem Yeats annouced jYdemos 1.8 is to be released in three weeks. Since this release features changes to the football simulator the author is waiting for the end of the C16 (which uses jYdemos 1.7).

- With 6000 thousands messages downloaded, a fifth of the national mailing list is now archived and fully searchable.

EXLUDE

- Debian Linux proved to be very popular among the Ydean population. Linux.ydemos.com is about to test Suse Linux 10.0 Beta 4. Talks between citizens showed main concerns about migrating to linux were non-compatibility with Windows programs (namely Macromedia products) and games (World of Warcraft).

INTERNATIONAL

- The Strategial palace is observing minimal contacts and collaboration with some of its partners. Some embassies could close down in the near future.

SOCIETY

- Today is the Ydean birtday of the defunct Haile Selassie, founder of the State of Babylonie and of the city of Sumer.

- Political parties could well be flourishing in Ydemos. Talks are being led at the moment about the importance of politics and how this should be implemented.

ECONOMY

- Strikes have stopped in Dangloyre after the government changed the maximum time of labour to 70 hours a week (an Ydean week is 15 days long).

- The State enters the economical simulation and becomes a full economical actor.

- The Government has announced a set of socialist measures to be implemented in the near future.

SPORT

- Sumer Saint Germain (SSG) won the C16 !! The coach, Indy Jones is a living legend in Sumer.

- 27 teams have joined the next big football competition : the C2005. The competition will start when the number of teams will be 32. The FIF said the C2005 will use the next version of jYdemos, 2.0.

- New sports are being tested. Among them, a boat fighting simulation, a pie-throwing contest and a head-butt competition..

- Cososie and Krassdorf are setting up their own national football league using the FIF rules and jYdemos 1.9.

TECHNOLOGY

- KRY developed a new version of Minidel and a new Radio player. With new arts and programs such as the weather broadcast simulator KRY tends to make the most for the Ydean computer user : http://systercorp.free.fr/kry/

EXLUDE

- Debates are taking place at the moment about a possible identity crisis in Ydemos. The country was founded 5 years ago and is now fully built. A majority of the population expressed a certain nostalgy towards that "construction era" and is now wondering what left is to do...
